Authentique and Stampendous Blog Hop

Blog Banner Authentique

Hi Friends,

This week the Stampendous Design Team is sharing some terrific projects using Authentique Papers on their blog posts. The kind folks at Authentique sent a lot of great patterned papers for the team to use on a big Blog Hop in October plus in the the Spring themed Stampendous October Catalog. The gals kindly took a few days out to make some other great projects, however, because this paper is just too fun not to use on all kinds of things.

I don’t get to blog with the team very often (I don’t usually have time to make anything) but our hop was looking kind of weak for Thursday, so I put together this fun card featuring Stampendous Lovely Garden Jumbo Stamp Set and the matching Lovely Garden Cutting Dies. I’m so excited that we finally got to make dies at Stampendous. I’ve been wanting them for years. And these are just gorgeous!

I decided to do the flower and leaves in various black and white Authentique papers. Then add the butterfly in a beautiful lettuce green that has tiny butterflies on it. Add some May Arts Jute Twine and coordinating Bazzill paper, and you’ve got a quick and easy card that really pops.

I added some white colored pencil to the center of the smaller flower for just a bit of definition in the petals. They were a tad hard to see on such dark paper. But I really love the contrast.

So did I mention there are prizes?? Yep, you could win a bunch of fun Authentique papers plus a $20 Stampendous Reward Card to spend on our website! How? Just comment on as many blog posts this week as you can. Each comment is an entry to win! We’ll draw one winner using Random.org on Monday, so you have until Sunday, August 17th to comment. You can find the posts for the week here:
MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY
Be sure to visit the Stampendous Blog tomorrow when several of the Design Team will have additional projects to post!! Thanks for stopping by!

 – By the way, for those who care about this sort of thing, I made this card in the Stampendous offices using paper supplied by Authentique for our use and lots of other cool stuff given to us to use in our Graphics Department. So I didn’t buy any of it, but I wouldn’t use it if I didn’t love it either. Life is way too short to craft with icky stuff!
